FAQs

  • Not at all! We specialize in working with beginners to teach them the fundamentals and master them. We have athletes from first time beginners all the way up through level 6 advanced athletes.

  • No. Anyone who is potty trained and 4+ years of age can be apart of our classes. Our goal is to build athletes who excel in cheer and tumbling, but being a cheerleader is not required.

  • All athletes must wear socks & tennis shoes and need to have their hair pulled out of their faces. We recommend form fitting clothing to prevent shirts from falling over athletes eyes. Most of our athletes wear Nike Pros shorts (or similar style) and cropped, fitted tops or tanks or sports bras. Sports bras are permitted inside of the gym, but they must leave the gym fully covered. Cheer shoes are recommended to prevent shoes coming off during classes and because the weight, profile, support and flexibility is ideal for the sport. There are affordable options on Amazon.

  • Classes are 45 minutes long.

  • Registration fees are to cover your athlete in the gym under our insurance policy. This is a one time a year fee and it and it is due upon the first class. Please email us with any questions. For cheer/tumbling classes, the registration fee is $50. Or you can Venmo or PayPal us at:

Registration fee is due upon the first class.

  • At Cheer One, we are committed to being flexible when things come up. If your class falls on a federal holiday where Hanahan Gymnasium is closed, our gym allows your child to makeup their hours. Send us an email and we will get you scheduled. Our class times and monthly schedule are available on our website. Under CLASSES > CLASS SCHEDULE.

In the event your class falls on a gym closure day, you can come to a makeup class.

*Please note: all makeup classes must be skill level appropriate (ex: a beginner may not attend a Level 3 class).
